Postpartum Support offers in-home postpartum care in the
Greater Seattle Area, Eastside, and Vashon Island for the whole family—
including support with the physical, emotional, and social needs of
families.Our doulas help facilitate communication within the family, and with other support professionals. Our specialties include: mother care, multiples (twins & more), infant care, father support, depression, coping with sleep deprivation, assistance with older siblings, breastfeeding skills, and medical issues.
Our work is about supporting families to thrive. We serve families in the greater Seattle area, including: North King County, the Eastside, and Vashon Island.
Our Services:
- Newborn baby care
- Experienced twins and multiples care
- Breastfeeding education, support, and referrals to resources, if needed
- Hospital grade, Medela Classic electric breast pump rental (delivered to your home)
- How to soothe a newborn's cries (for example, instruction on, "The Happiest Baby on the Block" skills)
- Sleep tips, education, and coping strategies
- Emotional support and mother care
- Nutritional counseling
- Meal preparation and shopping
- Household organization
- How to comfortably and successfully use your sling/baby carrier
- Infant massage instruction
- In home massage
- Counseling (including: life transitions, parenting, relationships, grief and loss, and postpartum depression)
- Compassionate Communication training (for couples, for parent to child, between siblings, and more)
- Education and resources (diapering, safe car seat use, bathing, etc.)
- Help with pet care, and expertise transitioning pets to life with a new family member/newborn
- Photography (to capture the memories of those precious first days, as well as in-home photos of your family at any stage)
